Nearly 200 sailors expected for the 17th edition of the Coffee Route! In October 2025, the TRANSAT CAFÉ L'OR Le Havre Normandie will take off on 26 October from Le Havre to Martinique, where the finish will be decided for the third time in a row. An unmissable event in ocean racing that skippers in the four open classes have already ticked off their agendas: IMOCA, Ocean Fifty, ULTIM and Class40.

For its 17th edition, the longest of the transatlantic races will once again be a great popular festival in Le Havre, the historic port of departure since 1993. And after a high-level regatta between Normandy and Martinique on four courses of different lengths, the group finishes in Fort-de-France promise a real festival.

The TRANSAT CAFÉ L'OR Le Havre Normandie retains the DNA of the Coffee Route: a coffee destination, a double-handed transatlantic race, 4 classes, 4 courses, 4 winning duos.

This bi-annual event is well established in the offshore racing calendar. A major race that has found its natural home in Normandy and in Le Havre, France's leading coffee-growing port, its historic starting point since 1993. From 17 October, the opening date of the village, a big festival is announced around the Paul Vatine basin before the big start on the 26th. A popular event that will not prevent the Coffee Route from questioning its environmental footprint, which has been recognised as a reference event in this field by ADEME* since 2009.

A new name, nearly 100 duos, 4 winners

On Sunday 26 October 2025, the most mythical double-handed transatlantic race will set sail under a new name: The TRANSAT CAFÉ L'OR Le Havre Normandie. Supported by the famous brand L'OR, the Coffee Route is gaining notoriety, to share unique moments with an even wider audience. The TRANSAT CAFÉ L'OR Le Havre Normandie remains an adventure to be shared by two, with audacity and sincerity, on a demanding course across the Atlantic.

A multi-class race assumed, the TRANSAT CAFÉ L'OR Le Havre Normandie will be the highlight of the season in four categories: The ULTIMs, the largest yachts in the world, the IMOCAs, one of the largest fleets, the Ocean Fifty, a class that is developing, the Class40, the largest class.

4 classes, 4 courses, 4 winning duos

To allow a group finish in Martinique, a guarantee of a total celebration and maximum media exposure for all competitors, as in 2023, four courses have been established according to each class of boat.

For us there will really be 4 winning duos. The objective is therefore that they arrive at the same time so that everyone can benefit equitably, regardless of the class, from the same media coverage and the village of arrival.

Race director

The TRANSAT CAFÉ L'OR Le Havre Normandie is a unique event. A major race whose historical partners, the city of Le Havre and the JDE group (custodian of the L'OR brand) are also the organizers. They will be able to rely on the Normandy Region and for the third consecutive year on Martinique, the land of origin of coffee in America which awaits sailors from mid-November.
