The Martinique Tourism Committee and the city of Fort-de-France, united within the Martinique Transat Association, are waiting for you to celebrate the finishes of the crews. A high-quality sports organization and infrastructure, a dedicated marina, festive events in the arrivals village: we are going to make the 30th anniversary of the TRANSAT CAFÉ L'OR an unforgettable edition in the magnificent setting of Fort-de-France !

An eco-responsible village

Just like Le Havre, the finish village in Fort-de-France, in Martinique, is in the process of improving its environmental footprint whilst all the time sharing knowledge and good environmental practices. These are essential commitments for this region which has become a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.

The village will open for the arrivals. Here again, many exhibitors will give pride of place to local production, to energy transition, sustainable mobility and the circular economy.

Located just opposite the pontoons, the village will offer direct access to boats and skippers who have successfully completed their crossing.

SHARING, INCLUSION AND EDUCATION !

To create interest from a young age and promote access to the sport, many young people from the Martinique Sailing League will have the opportunity to visit the boats. An initiative which is part of the illustration of school programs created in partnership with the Rectorate of Martinique.

And to encourage people with reduced mobility to discover this sport, four disabled-sailing regattas will be organized in the bay of Fort-de-France, as part of the arrival of the TRANSAT CAFÉ L'OR.

HIGHLIGHTING THE MARINE HERITAGE

Thanks to the TRANSAT CAFÉ L'OR Le Havre Normandie, Martinique highlights its maritime heritage. “The South Martinique Tourist Office Trophy” sets the famous Diamond Rock the last mark of the course before the finish line.

Coffee producers and processors will also be in the spotlight in the village. It is a great way to celebrate the introduction of coffee to the Americas, made by Martinique just 300 years ago!

And of course, the Yoles of Martinique, included in the UNESCO register of good conservation practices, will be on the water during the 10 days the village is open.
