THEIR RACE IN BRIEF

When he talks about his new boat Anthony Marchand's enthusiasm is contagious. Actual Ultim 4 is the former Gitana-17, the most successful multihull of recent years. "This boat opens up a world of possibilities for us," he confided. Since its launch in July, the Actual team and its skipper have been working tirelessly to get to grips with the boat. This mission was accomplished with Julien Villion, renowned for his routing skills and also a former member of Team Gitana. Leading on the very first miles, Marchand and Villkion delivered a solid performance. Staying neck and neck with SVR-Lazartigue all the way to Cape Finisterre, and for a long time battling with Sodebo Ultim 3, the Actual duo made a strong debut aboard this prestigious tri. They demonstrated what they had hoped for: their ability to compete at the front of the fleet from start to finish.
