How do I get to the Village of la Route du Café in Le Havre?

Discover all the options for easily reaching the Transat Café L'OR Village in Le Havre, Normandy.

The village is located around the Paul Vatine basin, with the main entrance on Rue Jean Maurel, reachable from the Quai Frissard.

By public transport :

The LiA network in Le Havre provides easy access to the village. To get your bus or tram route, click here.

Access to the village via public transport - bus and tram :

  • Docks Vauban stop: Bus 9 or 19
  • Gares stop: Tram A/B, Bus C3, C4, C5, 9, 11, 11E, 12, 16, 20 et 21

Traveling to Le Havre by train or intercity bus :

Le Havre has an SNCF train station and a bus station, which are the arrival points for:

  • Nomad Trains from Rouen (1h) and Paris Gare Saint-Lazare (2h15). Direct connections.
  • TGV Lyon-Rouen-Le Havre (4h40) and Marseille (6h30)
  • Nomad Car.

The Le Havre train stations is ideally located, a 7-minute walk or 12-minute ride by public transportation from the departure village.

The train is the more environmentally friendly choice of transport, emitting 80% less CO2e on average than an equivalent car journey (ADEME Carbon Base). 

A footbridge connects the station directly to the Paul Vatine basin (500m from the village).

Nomad Car Shuttles: Your direct link to the Village!

Several NOMAD Car routes serve the city of Le Havre, particularly the bus station. Whether you are coming from Caen, Honfleur, Goderville, Etretat, Fécamp, or Bolbec, buses are available (timetables available below). 

  • Line 506 : Le Havre – Caudebec en Caux
  • Line 508 : Le Havre – Goderville – Fécamp
  • Line 509 : Le Havre – Etretat – Fécamp
  • Line 122 : Le Havre – Honfleur – Caen

On Thursday, October 23, with the Pass Malin, travel unlimited on lines 122, 506, 508, and 509 for €3 (single) or €10 (up to 5 people).

By bike : The eco-friendly and practical option

Enjoy Le Havre's 120 km of cycle paths and Normandy's 2,627 km of cycle routes!

By car : Carpooling and road access

If you still want to drive to the Coffee Route, try carpooling with StadiumGO !

Main road access :

  • A13 (Paris-Rouen-Caen) : approximately 2.5 to 3 hours by bus. Traffic is flowing freely on the highway, so remember to pay online at Sanef.
  • A29 (Amiens) : 2h

By car: Park-and-ride facility at Océane Stadium 

A park-and-ride facility will be available at Océane Stadium from the morning of October 18 to the evening of October 26. 

Shuttles:

A free shuttle service to the village. Shuttle frequency:

  • One articulated bus every 30 minutes,
  • Every 15 minutes between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m.,
  • Service extended until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Pick-up on Rue du Stade Océane, opposite P5 (south/north direction), drop-off at Rue Marceau, in front of Océane Docks.

Motorhome access:

  • Parking lot P7 is partially reserved for motorhomes with a maximum capacity of 100 spaces.
  • This is not a motorhome area; there are no facilities for motorhome waste disposal or garbage collection.
