Because of the forecasted weather conditions, the TRANSAT CAFÉ L’OR Le Havre Normandie organization in consultation with the Le Havre sub-prefecture has decided to close the village starting at 0100hrs on Thursday, October 23 (Wednesday night to Thursday) and for the entire day.
According to race meteorologist Pierre-Yves Guillerm (Météo France): "A strong gale is expected on Thursday along the Normandy coast. Gusts could reach 90 to 100 km/h between early morning and mid-afternoon."
Depending on how the situation develops, the village will reopen on Thursday evening or Friday at 10:00 a.m.
